Since We Aren't "Jumping" the Broom

I thought I might improvise. Literally jumping over a broom is just not us, but I don't mind paying homage to our ancestors. I found this miniature broom in the cleaning section of a local dollar store and thought, "How now, a broom that's just the right size to sit on my greeting table."

It's pictured next to my miniature stapler to give you an idea of the size. It's literally like, less than a foot in length, I just didn't have my ruler to check at the time I took this picture. So, another DIY project to add the list. I'm probably more excited about this than anything else, lol.

I'll decorate it with ribbon and put the date on there somehow. I'll probably put it next to a sign or attach a tag that says "We're jumping the broom!" Or something like that. What d'ya think?

  1. Yeah... we toyed around with that too-- what to do about "jumping the broom." But since I'm also Jewish and we have to break the glass at the end, it seemed kinda tedious to break the glass AND jump the broom. So, we cut it out completely. Cut idea though-- incorporating it into the wedding somehow.
