Could This Be the Dress?

I won it on Ebay. Now I just have to see if the seller comes through on my sizing and I hope this experience goes well. I actually just won it on ebay, it comes out to under $200 including shipping. BUT. I've never bought clothes on Ebay. In fact, I thought buying a wedding dress on ebay was a great idea, but not for me.

That all changed once I went dress shopping at David's Bridal. A bridesmaid and I went yesterday, and after about 9 dresses, only 2 were okay, and of the 2 one I kinda liked was like this dress, but $400. So, I found this on ebay and thought, why not? I haven't paid on it yet. I'm waiting to hear back from the seller. Needless to say, I'm nervous.

Our Wedding Venue! Part 3

This is the bride's dressing room. It really made an impression on me and looks MUCH better in person. The antique chairs give it such a warm feeling, I know I'm going to feel gushy inside getting ready with my bridesmaids. There is a dressing room for the groom as well, a little smaller and with red walls. So, now you've gotten a look at the place where it's all going down!

Our Wedding Venue! Part 2

This is where the reception will be taking place, and it has room for a dance floor. These pictures are from the website, and I don't think they look particularly great. The venue space is fairly new and so far the weddings I've seen hosted there were, well, tacky in my opinion. But my wedding will be the one to change that! Maybe I'm being too judgemental, but I'm pessimistic. I probably would not have chosen this place, but we'll make do with what we have!

Our Wedding Venue! Part 1

This is the gazebo I previously posted about that will be used for the ceremony. As I said, they provide the chairs. I'm planning on hanging lanterns and string lights to beautify the place. We are going to place something on each of the chairs as well. I'm nervous but I'm sure with hard work we can transform the place!

I Wish I Could Be Doing This...

Shopping for a wedding dress, instead of being stuck inside studying for my final on Wednesday. Only one more week and I'll be free. I'm sure I'll get to the dress shopping eventually.

I Agree

I came across an article written by a student from my rival school, but I agree with it nonetheless. I can definitely relate to where she's coming from. Not only that but the article was written two years ago and still applies. But I guess it would, because some things never change in our society.

Here's the article:

"Young Marriage: Not So Crazy"

Let me know what you think!

Hairdo for I Do!

Probably one of the things I'm most excited about is my hair for the day-of. You can spend all the money you want on a goregous dress, but if the hair isn't right it throws off your whole look.

I've known from the jump that I want a flower in my hair. Luckily, last week at the mall I found one from an accessories store called Amuse. They had a few others I'm thinking about picking up for my bridesmaids as well.

Pictured above are some of the hairstyles I'm thinking of. I love the simple look, and I think I can pull it off with my hair length. I have nothing against extensions and I've worn them for other special events like prom, but I think there's something special about being as real as I can be on my wedding day. I think I might be able to pull something like the hairstyles above off.
